Design@44

Design @ 44 is a UK and Scandinavian gift and homeware shop that is stocks handmade items from lots of independent artists and creators. The shop was opened in 2013 by Jade Devall in Derby on Saddler Gate and has now moved and is in the Derbion. They have also opened a second shop in Trentham gardens. In the eight years they have been open, they have blossomed in to a thriving and popular business. They stock a variety of environmentally friendly products and trendy gifts for all occasions. As well as their two stores, they also have an online shop where products can be delivered all across the UK. Since moving to the Derbion they have welcomed over fifty designers to sell their products alongside high street brands.

 At Design44 they recognise the importance of protecting the environment and keeping away from mass produced and unoriginal designs and ideas. The owner Jade Devall has turned Design44 into one of the most successful independent stores in the Midlands, driven by her passion for showcasing small businesses. Most of their designers welcome commissions for designs so anyone can feel free to get in touch.

 They are dedicated to helping small businesses and designers make a name for themselves. Every four months, they rent out their spaces to independent companies whose designs fit their goals and ethos.
